About In Our Nature

IMG_5940_edited.jpg

I'm Sydney Aldana, a Queer Latinx Sex and Relationship Coach, and the founder of In Our Nature. My journey into this field was ignited by a glaring need for LGBTQ+ representation among sex educators. Drawing from my background in psychology at California State University San Marcos and my experience at LGBTQIA+ and Gender Equity Centers, I've dedicated myself to dismantling sexual taboos and eradicating shame pervasive in our global culture. After graduating, I worked as an educational therapist, helping children and families foster healthy communication and social-emotional processing. Throughout this journey, I've immersed myself in diverse programs and apprenticed under various mentors, spanning the full spectrum of sex education, from sex therapists to professional dominatrixes.

Today, I'm thrilled to share my expertise with you. My practice centers on your unique needs, desires, and questions. It's all a part of your nature, and I'm here to guide you in reconnecting with your sexual self. Sex is a realm of pleasure, passion, play, intimacy, and expression. My mission is to empower you to unlock your fullest potential in sexual well-being, enabling you to embrace the confidence you've always had but may have lost sight of. Welcome, and I can't wait to embark on this journey with you!

These private coaching sessions are conducted virtually, ensuring you can access support from the comfort of your own home.

How long does a typical sex coaching session last?

Sex coaching is a specialized form of coaching that focuses on helping individuals and couples explore and enhance their sexual well-being, relationships, and communication. It aims to provide guidance, support, and education to promote healthier and more fulfilling sex lives.

Sex coaching is often more future-oriented and goal-focused compared to therapy or counseling, which may delve into past issues and mental health concerns. While therapists and counselors typically have clinical training, sex coaches often specialize in sexuality and relationships and work from a coaching perspective.

Sex coaching can help with a wide range of topics, including improving sexual communication, enhancing intimacy, addressing sexual concerns or performance issues, exploring sexual desires and fantasies, and building confidence in one's sexual identity and gender identity.

Both individuals and couples can benefit from sex coaching. Many people seek sex coaching for personal growth and to address individual concerns or desires, while others use it to strengthen their relationships.

Session duration can vary but typically lasts an hour to an hour and a half. In Our Nature does offer longer sessions, depending on the client's needs.

What if I feel uncomfortable or embarrassed during a session?

Expect open and nonjudgmental discussions about your sexual concerns and goals. Depending on your needs, you will be taught exercises, and strategies to help you achieve your objectives. Somatic sessions are also offered to strengthen the connection of body and mind.

Sessions are primarily virtual, with in person sessions available on a case to case basis.

Before a session, take some time to reflect on your goals, concerns, and questions related to your sexual well-being or relationships. Being open and honest with your coach will help them better assist you.

The number of sessions required varies depending on your goals and individual circumstances. Some people benefit from just a few sessions, while others may choose ongoing coaching to support their long-term growth.

As a skilled sex coach, I am trained to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment. It's okay to feel uncomfortable initially, but trust that these sessions support you and will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
